C-Store in the Student Community

Auburn East Main Small Stop is a c-store in the student community. It has been a part of student life for decades. Wanda has seen her share of students and loves them all. Of course, sometimes young students have a prankster side that keeps her on her toes. While rules must be enforced, building relationships is not only good for the store, but helps the students grow and learn. The staff loves when alumni return to relive the fun days of high school that included a coke and snacks or even a sneaky lunch when a break was needed from the routine.

“The kids are good. Some times they just need to be heard.”

Wanda Seek, Store Manager

Student and Life Learning

Just like her connection to the students, Wanda is life-time learner. She is using Zoom, analytics and an open mind to learn new things. It really helps the store when I show them I can learn new things after 20 years here. There is always a better way and learning keeps us young!” Stated Wanda, Manager of Small Stop in Auburn, Washington.
