PETERSBURG, Va. January 19, 2009:
BandyWorks LLC announced today that Mark M. Murphy has joined the company as vice president of sales and marketing.

Murphy comes to the software development company after serving as head of business development for an information technology advisory firm in Richmond. He has more than 30 years experience in senior management positions at publicly-held and large private companies in Central Virginia, including Figgie International Inc., Best Products Co. Inc. and Cornerstone Realty Income Trust Inc.

He will direct the sales and marketing functions at BandyWorks, which specializes in providing web-based enterprise solutions to large and mid-size businesses. Focus industries include telecommunications, manufacturing, construction, software and services.

” Murphy is a native of Chicago and a graduate of the University of Notre Dame. He has resided in Central Virginia for more than 25 years, and he and his family currently reside in Hanover County. He also is a member of many area business and community organizations.
