Holly Bandy Honored at Air Force Retirement Ceremony

 

Petersburg, VA, May 12, 2009:
Holly Bandy, chief administrative officer at BandyWorks LLC and retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Air Force, was honored recently at Langley Air Force Base with a retirement ceremony marking the end of her 21-year military career. During her career she was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, two Air Force Commendation Medals, and the Air Force Achievement Medal. Bandy joined the Air Force in 1987 as a Second Lieutenant after earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh. She served on active duty for eight years, then in the Air Force Reserve for 13 years attached to Langley Air Force Base. She served as Assistant Director of Pharmacy, then Director of Pharmacy at John Randolph Medical Center, HCA in Hopewell during her Reserve career. Bandy was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in 2006, and she formally retired from the Air Force in September of 2008, when she joined BandyWorks.
